School Council
A big hello from our School Council!
Each year four year two students are elected into office by their peers. Our School Council plays an active role in the life of our school and our community. Each week a meeting is held with Mrs. Ballard, where we discuss up and coming issues in our school, including fundraising for both school and for charity, our classmates worries or concerns and discuss how we can take action to make our school an even better place to be.
For the first time this year we are to be involved in the Flying High Partnership Student Parliament. This is where school councils meet together from across our family of schools to work together on a project. This academic year sees the beginning of a sustainability project, where we are re-selling and recycling pre-loved school uniform. Each term we have vast amounts of unclaimed lost property that will be used as part of this project. All lost property is checked for names and identifying features before being used for this.
Our first job this term was to hold a 'Bonfire Night Safety' assembly. We worked together to explain to our peers how to keep safe on bonfire night and demonstrated how to hold a sparkler safely and shared the story of Guy Fawkes. Take a look at our presentation to see for yourself!
