Learning for Life
What is learning for Life?
Our Personal, Social and Health Education (P.S.H.E) together with our Relationships and Sex Education (R.S.E), enables our children to become healthy, independent, aspirational and responsible members of our community.
At The Green Infant School we teach these aspects of the curriculum as Learning for Life.
We strive to help our pupils understand how they are developing personally and socially, and to support them to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.

Hand washing
On 29th January Heather and Julia came to visit us to teach us all about the importance of hand washing. We learnt:
- Good hand washing contributes to reducing illnesses and how they or others may become ill from ineffective hand washing.
- The key times hands should be washed.
- How quickly and how far germs can spread.
- How to wash hands effectively using good techniques.
Our parents, grandparents and carers came and joined in the mini workshop after school. We taught them how to wash their hands properly.
