Anti-Bullying Day 2018
This week we have been learning:
The definition of respect
That bullying is a behaviour choice
That we can respectfully disagree with each other i.e. we don’t have to be best friends or always agree with each other but we do have to respect each other
That we all need to choose to respect each other both face to face and online
As you know the effects of bullying can have a massive impact on all individuals, whether that is at school, work, college or socially. Anti bullying week is a great way to get involved, take a stand against bullying and raise awareness in your school. Bullying doesn't just affect children but adults too.
Today we wore blue to stand up to bullying. We all know someone who has experienced bullying in some aspect of their life. We recognise that the impact of bullying can be a very difficult process to overcome.
"Keeps being horrible to me about everything. He was my best friend. I can’t move away because I would have no one as a friend. All my other friends gang up with him against me and I’m always the butt of the joke."
Our wear blue day is in recognition of all those who have suffered from bullying or are experiencing this to come together and stand up to bullying.
